Shave Soap Lather. Cushion. Glide.
The lather is where the shave is won or lost. This shave soap is made for anyone who wants a real wet shave: a dense, hot-processed, tallow-based puck that whips into a thick, cushioning lather built to protect skin and let the razor glide. No thin, bubbly foam that disappears halfway through the pass, just rich, stable lather that holds from the first stroke to the last.
We built this formula on the old-school fundamentals that make great shave soap: tallow, stearic acid and a dual-lye blend, then finished it with modern skin-care ingredients that soothe and hydrate while you shave. It's rugged enough for the coarsest beard and refined enough that your skin will notice the difference afterward.
Key ingredients: Tallow — The backbone of traditional shave soap. It creates a creamy, conditioning lather with real body and makes a firm puck that loads easily and lasts. Stearic Acid — The secret to that thick, cushioning lather. It builds the dense, yogurt-like texture that keeps a protective layer between blade and skin. Castor Oil — Rich in ricinoleic acid, it boosts lather density and slip at the same time, so the razor moves clean with less drag and less irritation. Bentonite Clay — Adds slip, body and cushion to the lather, helping the blade glide smoothly over skin. Squalane & Meadowfoam Oil — Stirred in after the cook so they stay intact, they add glide during the shave and leave skin soft, never tight, afterward. Allantoin & Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) — A calming, moisture-holding duo that soothes razor-stressed skin and helps it recover before you even reach for the aftershave.
Rounding out the blend, Shea Butter brings rich conditioning, and Vegetable Glycerin and Sodium Lactate add extra hydration and slickness. The dual-lye base, with both sodium and potassium soap, gives a soap firm enough to last but soft enough to load fast.
Rugged work. Refined care. This is shave soap, done right.
Volume: 4 oz / 113 g — Directions: Soak a shave brush in warm water and shake it out. Swirl it on the soap for 20–30 seconds to load, then build the lather on your face or in a bowl, adding a few drops of water at a time until it's thick and glossy. Shave as usual and rinse with cool water.
Winter Sovereign — Fragrance Description
The wind finds you first.
It comes down off the high passes before dawn, sweeping across frost-hardened ground, and it carries nothing but cold — clean, mineral, merciless. This is the top note of Winter Sovereign: Cold Mountain Air, the smell of breath turning to vapor, of iron-grey sky pressing low over a valley that hasn't seen the sun in days. You stand at the edge of a ridge, furs drawn tight, and the air itself feels like it's daring you to move.
Then the light breaks.
As the sky pales to silver, the frost on the pines begins to lift, and with it rises the heart of the scent — Crisp Citrus cutting through the chill like sunlight splitting cloud cover, sharp and bright and alive against all that cold. Beside it, Eucalyptus breathes out from the tree line, medicinal and green, the smell of a forest exhaling after a long winter night. Together they feel like the moment a battle-worn traveler finally catches a clean breath — relief with an edge, vitality returning to numbed hands.
By the time you descend into the valley, the ground has changed beneath your boots. The frost gives way to open Meadow Grass, bent and pale gold, bruised sweet where your steps have crossed it — the first sign that the wilderness still holds something soft beneath its armor. And running beneath everything, holding the whole scene together, is Cedarwood — dry, dense, ancient. It's the smell of the timber hall at the edge of the meadow, of a throne carved from a tree older than any ruler who's sat in it. Woodsmoke without the fire. Strength without cruelty.
This is a fragrance built like a long walk out of winter: it opens hostile, brightens into something fierce and clarifying, and settles into something grounded and enduring. It doesn't ask to be liked — it asks to be respected. Worn on skin, in a candle, in a bar of soap held under warm water, it tells the same story every time: the north is unforgiving, but something in you was always built to rule it.
